    As Operations Manager of Harcourts Group Australia, Marcus is responsible for the growth, management and profitability of Harcourts’ business operations throughout Australia. 


    With over 20 years of experience in the real estate and financial services markets across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Marcus has been responsible for the growth of a competitor broking business as well as the expansion and market share growth of a major real estate group in Victoria and Tasmania.

    As Operations Manager of Harcourts Group Australia, Marcus is responsible for the growth, management and profitability of Harcourts’ business operations throughout Australia.

    Working directly with the Australian state CEOs, Marcus’ objective is to ensure Harcourts continues to increase its market coverage and market share across Australia.

    Marcus also works directly with the leaders of Harcourts’ various brands and business units across Australia including Landmark Harcourts and Harcourts Complete, as well as the events and communications functions, to drive results in these areas.

    As Landmark Harcourts National Operations Manager, Mark Brooke draws on more than 29 years industry experience.



    rom being raised on the family farm in northern Victoria to studying valuations in Melbourne, to a 13-year real estate stint in Victoria’s Gippsland region, Mark has a solid grounding in rural property markets. Mark joined Landmark Harcourts (as Wesfarmers Dalgety) in 1996 and has subsequently held a variety of Management positions within the company including State Real Estate Manager for Victoria/Riverina/Tasmania, and Divisional Real Estate Manager for South Eastern Australia.

    Mark is a licensed Estate Agent, Stock and Station Agent and Business Agent (in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania), an accredited Auctioneer, and an active member of the REIV and ALPA, having held numerous state-level committee appointments for both organisations.

    Andrew holds tertiary qualifications in commerce and property. He is a member of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia next Generation committee.

    Andrew is a specialist in the South Australian Real Estate market and as Business Development Manager was responsible for business planning, professional development and training to support Business Owners and Sales Consultants to grow their business.

    Mark Morrison is a licensed real estate agent and auctioneer with ten year’s experience in the industry. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and prior to coming back to Australia worked in the cruise industry as a senior manager for companies such as Disney Cruise Line.

    Upon returning to Australia he ran a well-known boutique agency in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, before joining McGrath Estate Agents and was instrumental in growing their brand in NSW, ACT, and Queensland. Mark is an active member of the REINSW, and sits on the board of the Auctioneers Chapter, he has conducted over 4,000 auctions and has won several auction awards.

    In his role with Harcourts New South Wales, Mark is responsible for driving internal growth through the development of the group’s existing business by coaching and mentoring its business owners as well as recruiting new talent and offices within the state.

    Sadhana Smiles is Chief Executive Officer of Harcourts Victoria, the state division of one of Australia’s leading and well respected real estate brands.

    Prior to joining Harcourts Victoria, She held the role of CEO with Harcourts New South Wales in Sydney. In that role, Sadhana led the group through a period of strong growth, posting an impressive 26 per cent surge in settled sales and a 50 per cent jump in the average sales commission per sales consultant.

    Sadhana is also the proud and very active founder of a not-for-profit organisation, “Links Fiji”, set up to help create real change in women’s health through education. She was recongised in 2007 for her contribution of women in franchising with the PricewaterhouseCoopers Franchise Woman of the Year award for Victoria/Tasmania.

    Sadhana is also a popular speaker and presenter, and is regularly asked to speak at some of the industry’s most prestigious events, including ARPM, AREC, AREL, RELC, the REINSW Women’s Conference and the Harcourts Conference. Sadhana is also a regular contributor to a number of National real estate journals and publications.

    As part of the Harcourts International team, Julianna Forsyth is the Head of Harcourts Complete, responsible for driving this area across the entire group.



    Based in Sydney Julianna’s focus is to work with the teams at Strand Conveyancing across Australia, to establish a national structure and develop business plans covering marketing, communication, technology and much more.

    She will also work with Harcourts Operations Managers for Property Management to build on the great work already done in developing and delivering a ‘Harcourts Way’ for property management. As part of the role, Julianna will also work to ensure Harcourts Financial Services, Mortgage Express and Insurance Express continue to strengthen their presence and penetration within the group.

    While beginning her working life in a law firm, in recent times Julianna has worked with the Real Training Team providing training, coaching and technology to clients throughout New Zealand, Australia, the UK and South Africa, including speaking at AREC. Having spent 10 years leading a team of twenty plus commission only agents into the world of client benefit systems, Julianna brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise within the real estate industry and will be an outstanding new member of the Harcourts team.

    Richard Laery is based in Brisbane, Australia and is responsible for the financial health, performance and growth of NAI Harcourts throughout New Zealand and Australia.


    Richard has more than 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, primarily in the commercial and industrial markets.

    Richard has also gained experience in the residential and rural markets, along with international project marketing. Prior to his current role, Richard led the New Zealand growth of the NAI Harcourts business. During that time the business flourished and achieved 60% growth each year Richard was at the helm.
