When tech giant Apple wants to promote the way you’ve used its software to create cutting-edge apps, you know you are at the forefront of your industry.
This was the recent experience of Harcourts, which is the only real estate group globally to have ever been singled out and showcased by Apple.
So it’s no wonder that Harcourts Victoria has scooped this year’s Innovation Award at the 2016 REIV Awards for Excellence.
Harcourts head of eBusiness Gregg Toyama says the win is a huge honour, especially as it highlights the effort his team puts in to providing the best digital solutions for Harcourts sales consultants and their clients.
“Apple first contacted us in 2015 about showcasing what we have created to a global audience. They produced a video and business case study about our mobile suite of apps. Understandably we were thrilled at their recognition,” Mr Toyama says.
Harcourts developed three apps based on Apple technology: eOne, eOpen and eCampaign.
eOne is designed for handheld devices to assist sales consultants manage all electronic interactions with contacts and groups, record activities and search for properties on behalf of clients away from the office.
eOpen is designed to easily register open for inspection (OFI) attendees through iPads. The app notifies interested parties about future OFI times and price changes and when offers are being presented to sellers.
Finally, eCampaign allows team members to conduct up-to-the-minutes interactive listing presentations on their iPad with engaging graphics and statistics.
Mr Toyama says the REIV Innovation Award win, combined with the recognition from Apple and the continued positive feedback from sales consultants and Harcourts clients, is humbling for the eBusiness team, who are always striving to deliver the very best in user-friendly technology.
“We will continue to innovate and find solutions that makes life for our sales consultants and clients easier and more efficient.”
