The award, presented at the prestigious 2016 REB Awards held on June 16 at the Star Casino in Sydney, recognises the group that provides its members with the most effective and diverse training programs relevant to today’s real estate professional.

The Harcourts Academy receiving the Training and Education Program Award is fitting recognition of the Academy’s achievements and commitment to excellence over several years.

Head of Harcourts Academy, Irene Green, accepted the award, in front of around 900 attendees, and emphasised the importance of the Academy and its work to fulfilling Harcourts’ vision and values.

“For 25 years the people of Harcourts have always told me that our training is the best, but to be recognised by the industry nationally is an achievement we are so proud of,” Irene said.

“We invest heavily in the growth of our people, both in the class and online, so for my team this significant recognition is a celebrated reward for their passion and commitment.

“The team now has a new goal to be the very best training provider in the world!”

Of the six categories Harcourts were finalists in for the night, they received the top prize for three.

Other award winners were Trent and Kim Shorland, Business Owners of Harcourts Adelaide Hills, who accepted the award for Australia’s Best Regional Sales Office.

Julie Mahoney of Harcourts Townsville Kingsberry, continued the regional theme by taking out the award for top Sales Agent – Regional award.

Harcourts Australia were also named a finalist for Major Network of the Year (40 offices or over), Innovator of the Year, and Tim Nickoll of Harcourt’s Integrity (Maylands, Perth) was nominated for Property Manager of the Year – Metropolitan.
