Is it still possible to sell my property during the Coronavirus?

Yes, you can still sell your home or investment property during this time.  We are continuing to see a significant volume of buyer activity in the market and have helped a large number of clients through their property transactions over the past few months.

We have adapted the way we operate and have adjusted our property campaigns to work really effectively during this time.

What should I do if I want to sell my property during the coronavirus?

Can I still get my property appraised?

We are still able to offer market appraisals by attending your property and offer you virtual consultation and a professional opinion of the value without needing to physically visit your property. How can buyers inspect my property whilst social distancing restrictions are in place?

In some areas, we remain able to hold private, by-appointment only inspections and have put measures in place to ensure we mitigate the risk of exposure during a private inspection appointment. Appointments are one on one and allow any potential buyers to take their time and view your property with the sales agent.

For locations in metropolitan Melbourne, we have moved to a fully online process. 

Further to this, we recommend that new listings include additional photography, property videos and 3D virtual tours to help buyers interested in your property that are unable to inspect in person. 

What are Harcourts doing to mitigate the risk of exposure the Coronavirus during private inspections?

All our sales agents are exercising the utmost care when it comes to hygiene, social distancing practices and Government regulations when hosting private inspections of unoccupied properties.

The following procedures have been put executed:

  • Maintaining healthy social distancing (at least 1.5m)
  • Advising attendees to refrain from touching surfaces within the property where possible

We also request buyers refrain from attending an inspection of an unoccupied property if they have:

  • Tested positive to, or have symptoms associated with Coronavirus
  • Recently been in contact with someone diagnosed with Coronavirus
  • Recently been overseas or agreed to any self-isolation conditions

How can I view a property without physically attending a private inspection?

Our sales agents are highly trained on how to conduct virtual inspections, so you can still inspect a property without physically being there. Virtual inspections allow buyers to be taken on a personal tour of the property of your choice at a pre-arranged time, guided by the agent as they walk through the property. This provides you the ability to ask questions and receive answers on the spot. These can be conducted via platforms such as FaceTime, Zoom, WhatsApp and more.
