Leading global real estate franchise group, Harcourts International, has announced that Ben Brady has been named Regional Director for the Harcourts Pacific Region in the U.S. He will step into this new role in January 2019 replacing Rob Forde, who was recently named Chief Operating Officer International for Harcourts International.
Mr Brady is currently the Director of Harcourts Auctions, the real estate auction arm for Harcourts in the U.S. and responsible for introducing the live auction format of selling residential property.
“Ben is an incredibly hard-working member of the Harcourts USA team and knows the business inside and out having been an integral member of the leadership team,” said Mike Green, Harcourts International Managing Director.
“To have Ben combine his passion for auction and expertise in helping home owners sell their property with his exceptional leadership in the Harcourts business, the future for Harcourts and the live auction platform is a bright one.”
Since its debut in the U.S. in 2015, Harcourts Auctions has sold over 1,000 properties in non-distressed auction sales and has become synonymous with a high level of client service for the Harcourts network of 40 offices and over 750 real estate sales consultants.
“We have worked extremely hard over the past three years to change the way property buyers and sellers think about property and how people view live auctions,” said Mr Brady.
“For Harcourts, our number one value proposition is auction because it is putting property selling and buying back into the hands of the public and it is a completely transparent process. While it is a relatively new method in the U.S., in other parts of the world such as Australia and New Zealand, auction is often the preferred way to sell property of any type as it is an open forum of competitive and genuine bidding.”
Prior to moving to the U.S., from 2011-2015, Mr Brady was the Chief Auctioneer for Harcourts Queensland. He has personally been responsible for selling over $5 billion in property over the past 12 years.
With an impressive start to the real estate industry at the age of 15, Mr Brady went on to become the youngest ever finalist at the Harcourts Australian Auctioneering Championships. That same year he earned his place to compete in the Australasian Auctioneering Championships; a competition only available to the top 10 auctioneers throughout Australia and New Zealand. In 2013, he was nominated as a finalist for Australia Auctioneer of the Year.
Despite his continually growing list of achievements, Mr Brady’s number one passion continues to be Harcourts and sharing the unique auction marketing process to achieve above ‘market value’ results for his clients.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to work alongside Rob in his new role,” said Mr Brady. “He’s left me an incredible foundation to build upon and I’m grateful for our collaboration in building the Harcourts brand in the U.S.
“To have him staying in the Harcourts family and continue on as an ally in growing and strengthening our network is the best possible support for all of our business owners.”
Mr Brady will continue to be based at the Harcourts USA office in Aliso Viejo, California.
