Harcourts Group Australia CEO Marcus Williams has announced the appointment of Mahan Shishineh as a director of the Harcourts New South Wales/Australia Capital Territory group as he takes a 10% equity stake in this business. Mr Shishineh currently serves as Franchise Development Manager for the NSW/ACT group, a role he has had since 2014, and will continue as Harcourts focuses on expanding throughout the region through franchise growth and new office recruitment.

Mahan-1“Mahan is a key member of our team and committed to the long-term growth and success of the NSW/ACT Harcourts businesses and so for him to invest in this organisation is an exciting step for both Mahan and Harcourts,” said Marcus Williams, Harcourt Group Australia CEO. “Mahan has been an integral part of our growth across New South Wales and the ACT and I’m pleased to see him take the next step in his career with Harcourts by investing in the growth and future of our group. We are fortunate to have his talents and dedication.”

For Mr Shishineh, the additional responsibilities of board management are a natural extension of his commitment to advancing the quality of Harcourts and its offerings as a real estate franchise group. His name has become synonymous with his social media tagline #growthisallIlove as it captures the passion he pours into his relationships.

“I'm beyond excited to join the Harcourts board of directors," said Mr Shishineh. “The opportunity that Mike (Green) and Marcus have given me is exceptional, and I have Mark Morrison, our state CEO, to thank for much of it. I wouldn’t be here without his training and support. Everything I have learned from Mark (Morrison) has prepared me for my next step with Harcourts.”

Mr Morrison, the CEO of Harcourts NSW/ACT went on to say that Mr Shishineh had contributed the enormous success Harcourts has seen in the marketplace, with 39 franchise offices currently. “Mahan is a top bloke and our business owners, sales consultants and office teams are fortunate to have such a dedicated professional in their corner.”

A long-time resident of Sydney, Mr Shishineh transitioned to the real estate industry with 12 years’ experience in new business development and team management, from motor industry, financial services - where he was responsible for sales across Asia Pacific - and commercial events management.

With Harcourts growing throughout Australia, Mr Shishineh’s appointment continues the company’s emphasis on retaining talent.

“We are delighted to have Mahan join our leadership team and add to the work we have undergone to become the leading real estate group in Australia and recognised as creating the finest experience for our clients, our teams and our business partners,” said Mr Williams.
