Following on from the recent appointment of industry heavyweight Lisa Pennell in the role of Chief Operations Officer for Harcourts Australia, the group has announced another key strategic hire in another newly created role. Adrian Knowles is set to join the group’s Australian executive leadership team as Chief Executive Officer of Growth following his resignation from Ray White this week.

Harcourts Australia CEO Marcus Williams said he was thrilled to have Mr Knowles join the Harcourts team, citing his spotless track record of success.

“Adrian is both a person of integrity and a highly skilled individual capable of delivering exceptional growth at every level. Having owned and operated his own successful real estate agency twice in the past eighteen years but also having held key corporate roles in a large franchise group, his skill set brings immense value to the Harcourts network, underpinning our ambitious growth plans going forward,” Williams said.

“As our momentum continues to build, it has been exciting to reflect on the calibre of people who are attracted to join us on our journey, further enhancing our success. We could not be more pleased that Adrian has chosen to accept the challenge of this important role.”

Mr Knowles said he was drawn to the Harcourts brand for a variety of reasons, but that the key driver was an alignment on core values.

“It’s critically important to me that what I promise to business owners is true and deliverable – doing the right thing is at the heart of everything I do. I feel a great alignment with Harcourts in this essential core value,” Mr Knowles said.

“Lisa and Marcus together are a powerhouse and are well supported by a strong international leadership team as well as the broader team in Australia. I completely believe in the ambition of the group to be the leading brand in Australia and want to be a part of that journey.”
