The list of finalists for the 2019 Annual REA (realestate.com.au) Excellence Awards have been announced and Harcourts has been nominated in four categories:
Global real estate franchise group, Harcourts International, today announced the appointment of Steve Caradoc-Davies as Chief Executive Officer to lead the 132-year-old company into the next era. Mr Caradoc-Davies will take over leadership of the 900-office network and approximately 10,000 team members in nine countries, from Mike Green, who takes on a new focus within the business. Both changes are effective 1 October 2019.
The 2019 Real Estate Business Awards counted Harcourts in its annual list of leading performers across Australia. Natalie South from Harcourts Solutions, in Brisbane, was named Business Development Manager of the Year, while Nick Bond and the team from Harcourts Huon Valley, in Tasmania, was named Sales Office of the Year – Regional. In total, Harcourts received a nod in 11 award categories highlighting the real estate franchise network’s success across property management, sales, mentoring and wellness advocacy.
The Harcourts Foundation, the charitable arm of Harcourts, has reached the milestone of $6 million raised since its launch in 2008. That translates to 732 charities supported, 356 communities impacted, and over 970 grants made through Harcourts offices in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and the USA.
Harcourts Australia CEO Marcus Williams announced the expansion of the 400-plus office real estate network with the opening of two franchises in Harcourts Batemans Bay and Harcourts Cabramatta, based in New South Wales.

Stephanie Williams, of Harcourts Williams in Adelaide, South Australia, was named to Real Estate Business’s (REB) Top 50 Women in Real Estate. The ranking celebrates the industry’s leading women and recognises the contribution they make to the incredibly high-performance standards the industry demands of its top achievers.
At the 2019 Real Estate Institute of Australia Awards for Excellence, Harcourts Huon Valley won Medium Residential Agency of the Year.
“Winning the medium agency of the year for Australia is exciting and humbling for our office coming from a country town in Tasmania where we are not in the national real estate spotlight,” said Harcourts Huon Valley business owner Nick Bond.
At the RateMyAgent 2019 Agent of the Year Awards, Harcourts Group Australia was recognised nationally as the Large Agency Network of the Year for the second time in a row and took out Top Agency in Western Australia, along with seven Top City awards, 124 Top Suburb Agency awards and 90 Top Suburb Agent awards.
